Haddon Heights High School is located in Southern New Jersey and in Camden County. The Haddon Heights High School Wrestling Program started in 1963. The School offers wrestling to all students in grades 7th through 12th. The 7th and 8th graders wrestle and compete in the Jr. High Wrestling program. The 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade student-athletes have the opportunity to wrestle and compete on the Junior Varsity and/or Varsity programs.
Wrestling is one of the oldest sports known to mankind. It dates back to the A.D. period when the Greeks used wrestling as one of the four events in the early Greek games. Wrestling is one of the toughest sports mentally and physically. It is a one-on-one, hand-to-hand combat battle. It is a battle of skill, agility, speed, strength and endurance. It is one of the most rewarding sports physically, mentally, psychologically and socially.
